The Apprenticeship to Business Program (AtoB) a new Federal Government program, is supporting eligible tradespeople such as; electricians, plumbers, carpenters, hairdressers and a range of other trades to develop their business management skills.

Individuals who are ready to start up a new business, or to operate as an independent subcontractor, or who have started a new business within the last 24 months are being sought to join the Program.

The AtoB Program is proudly brought you by the Edmund Barton Centre and North Coast TAFE.

How can the AtoB Program help YOU?

The AtoB Program provides flexible and online training in a nationally recognised qualification in small business management, delivered by the leading vocational education Institute, North Coast TAFE and includes business mentoring support for up to 12 months, provided by the Edmund Barton Centre Inc.

*Places are limited. We already have clients who have joined the Program who are located at;
Coolangatta, Goonellabah, Grafton, Coffs Harbour, Valla Beach and Port Macquarie.

Are You eligible?

To be eligible, individual tradespeople must:
• have permanent residency, that is, as an Australian citizen or as a permanent resident of Australia;
• have successfully completed a trade-related apprenticeship in a trade listed on the National Skills Needs List (NSNL). The Australian Apprenticeships website (www.australianapprenticeships.gov.au) provides further information about the NSNL;
• be preparing to or have recently (within 24 months) established a business;
• not be an undischarged bankrupt;
• not have previously completed the small business qualifi cations offered under the AtoB Program; and
• not be subsidised from other government funding, including Commonwealth, States and Territories, for the same eligible qualifications offered under the AtoB Program.
